　　Beginning just after the bloody Sioux victory over General Custer at Little Big Horn, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee intertwines the perspectives of three characters: Charles Eastman (Beach), né Ohiyesa, a young, Dartmouth-educated, Sioux doctor held up as living proof of the alleged success of assimilation; Sitting Bull (Schellenberg), the proud Lakota chief who refuses to submit to U.S. government policies designed to strip his people of their identity, their dignity and their sacred land – the gold-laden Black Hills of the Dakotas; and Senator Henry Dawes (Quinn), who was one of the architects of the government policy on Indian affairs. While Eastman and patrician schoolteacher Elaine Goodale (Paquin) work to improve life for the Indians on the reservation, Senator Dawes lobbies President Grant (Thompson) for more humane treatment, opposing the bellicose stance of General William Tecumseh Sherman (Feore). Hope rises for the Indians in the form of the prophet Wovoka (Studi) and the Ghost Dance – a messianic movement that promises an end of their suffering under the white man. This hope is obliterated after the assassination of Sitting Bull and the massacre of hundreds of Indian men, women and children by the 7th Cavalry at Wounded Knee Creek on Dec. 29, 1890. 　　哈勒尔（马克斯·冯·叙多夫 Max von Sydow 饰）是一名作家，愤世嫉俗的他非常看不惯当代社会的很多生活习惯，无法融入社会的他常常把自己锁在家中闭门不出，在孤独和黑暗里，哈勒尔的精神来到了崩溃的边缘。一天，在机缘巧合之下，哈勒尔读了一本名叫《评荒原狼》的书，书中所写的内容令他醍醐灌顶，他觉得这本书简直就是为了他量身定制的。
　　一次偶然中，哈勒尔解释了酒吧女郎赫尔米娜，在她的介绍之下，又认识了音乐人帕布洛和女孩玛利亚（多米妮克·桑达 Dominique Sanda 饰）。当哈勒尔发现赫尔米娜和帕布洛有一腿后，嫉妒的趋势之下，失去理智的哈勒尔杀死了赫尔米娜。

　　1930年代，经济大萧条时代美国一个民风淳朴的小镇上的Hilyer望族这天迎来了一个美丽的家庭保姆Rose（劳拉·邓恩 Laura Dern 饰），青春又对性有着强烈渴望的Rose对男主人发动了性的进攻，这一切都逃不过Hilyer一对子女的眼睛，Buddy（卢卡斯·哈斯 Lukas Haas 饰）和Doll暗中偷窥着Rose的举动，Rose无力勾引到极富魅力却头脑清醒的男主人，转而对正值青春期的Buddy投怀送抱却仍然得不到满足。从此Rose再也不掩饰自己的青春与性感，常穿着小衫和短裤衣衫不整地在家里走来走去，让小镇掀起旋风，无数男人走来一睹芳容，而Rose更是不忌讳地与之发生关系。男主人最终忍无可忍把她赶出家门，她却说自己已经怀孕，手术后留下终生不能怀孕的病根的Rose却没有停止自己的激情旅途，她依然如昨，处处与男人勾搭，这一朵激情的玫瑰要在激情中绽放自己的人生旅途。
　　Buddy长大成人后，一直没有忘记Rose，多年后他回到故居，Rose依然是最触动他记忆的钥匙，他想知道Rose如今怎样了……

　　San Francisco Tong hatchet man Wong must execute his boyhood friend Sun. Sun knew his time was up and wrote out his will just prior to Wong showing up at his door. When Sun realizes Wong is there to kill me he tries to set his friend's mind at ease by telling him he is the beneficiary of all Sun's worldly possessions and convinces Wong to promise to take care of Sun's young daughter, Toya San who Sun has bequeathed to become his wife. Years later, when she becomes of age, she marries Wong, now a powerful figure, though she loves evil Harry. When Wong learns Toya will be happier with Harry he allows them to leave. Still later Wong learns that Harry has been deported and since Toya could not prove she was married to someone else she too was deported to China. When Wong learns of this, he goes after them.

　　纽约警察－汉森是个无赖的警察．他很喜欢吸毒，泡妞．他吸毒之后自己所作的事情，连杀死人他事后都不记得，别人破案他去污钱，污毒品．纽约警察调查局开紿调查他的底细，汉森的下场会如何呢？

　　Aston (Robert Shaw), a quiet, reserved man, lives alone in a top-floor cluttered room of a small abandoned house in a poor London district. He befriends and takes in Mac Davies (Donald Pleasence), an old derelict who has been fired from a menial job in a café. In time Aston offers him a job as caretaker of the house. Aston's brother, Mick (Alan Bates) - a taunting, quasi-sadist - harasses the derelict when his brother is away, countermanding his orders. Eventually Aston, himself irritated by the cantankerous old man, puts him out.

　　出生于韩国的弗雷迪，自少便被领养家庭带到法国生活。25岁那年原本要去东京旅行，却因遇上台风而转游首尔，继而开展了一段寻根之旅。在法国成长的她，与亲生父母有着全然不同的文化，使这趟突如其来的旅程引发出更深层的身份思考，也将她的人生引领至始料未及的方向。

　　广海和海都分开之后，广海去到一个小岛洒店当服务员，性格仍是一点没变。另一方面，海都辞去公司职务，在一个小岛与美女上司一起硏究海豚。真琴和春子摇幸运轮得到大奖，大奖是双人海外旅游，真琴想去找广海。酒店要擧办池边派对，海都和上司也受邀请，与此同时，广海拿着酒四处送客，两个男人背对背碰个正着，一起跌落泳池，这才知道两人一都生活在同一个岛上，却不碰见。真琴和春子也住进同一洒店，于是四个人又碰在一起。

　　内容简单直接的催泪电影，根据《爱的故事》作家埃里克．席格的另一畅销小说改编而成。马丁．希恩在片中饰演的一名家庭幸福、婚姻美满的好男人巴伯，本身有两个女儿，然而在十年后他知道自己多了一个儿子，那是当年在巴黎出差时跟一位法国女郎婚外情的结晶。如今，小孩的母亲意外去世了，这个孤儿必须从巴黎到美国投奔父亲，而巴伯也必须说服家庭成员接受他这个亲生骨肉。导演狄克．李察斯以诚恳的态度来处理这个充满戏剧性的人伦故事，并没有刻意地夸张煽情，反而情感入心。马丁．希恩与女主角布莱思．丹纳的演出也相当精彩。
