　　Plot of the series:
　　In the series “Catherine Season 4 Favorites,” the reign of the Great Empress of Russia, Catherine Alekseevna II, continues. The events take place in 1779, when the queen has been on the throne for seventeen years and has reached the peak of her greatness. Her fame spread not only to neighboring countries, but throughout Europe. Such a nickname as “Great” was assigned to her by the high society of Europe, thanks to the efforts of the influential Princess Dashkova, who was always devoted to Catherine II.
　　Upon returning from abroad, Catherine II is helped by the ruler’s main associate, Ekaterina Romanovna Dashkova. Meanwhile, her husband mentioned in the series, Prince Grigory Alexandrovich Potemkin, remaining in second place in the State, is no longer her favorite. New favorites appear one after another, but they are all under the close supervision of Potemkin. None of the new favorites can maintain their position for long. Catherine plays at love, exalting herself to the point that no man deserves her true love. However, the heart does not obey the mind.
　　Young handsome Alexander Lanskoy won the heart of the queen, but ultimately broke it. Despite the stormy love affairs, Catherine the Second is not distracted for a minute from state affairs. The time comes when you have to think about the heir to the throne. Despite the fact that the Empress has a son, Pavel Petrovich, who is the main legal heir to the Russian throne, Catherine does not consider him a worthy successor. She decides to make her grandson, Alexander, her heir. Pavel is determined and ready to fight for his legitimate rights to the throne of Russia. A new fight for the Russian throne begins.
　　The seventeen-year reign of Catherine II was marked by her powerful influence on both domestic and foreign policy of Russia. She took active steps to modernize the country, absorbing foreign achievements and practices. The reforms of Catherine II were aimed at strengthening the state and increasing its influence in Europe. She also actively pursued foreign policy, expanding the territory of the Russian Empire and improving the army and navy.
　　At the same time, intrigue and political manipulation often accompanied the life of Catherine II. She divided her time between government affairs and her personal life, in which love affairs and passions played a significant role. Catherine II was known for her affairs with various men, including statesmen and foreign diplomats.
　　The new fight for the throne, described in the series "Catherine Season 4's Favorites", represents a dramatic turn for the empire. The heir to the throne, Pavel Petrovich, is faced with a choice - to fight for his legacy or to come to terms with his grandmother's decision. 　　Law & Order: Special Victims Unit对于一部procedural drama来说，情节及其设计是成功的关键。SVU在这方面是相当不错的，同时也继续着Law & Order系列的传统。对各个主角的私生活，几乎都不接触。这样的好处就是可以使观众随时看任意一集，而不必担心情节不连戏。坏处就是观众群不断地更换。 Easier to attach, easier to detach. L&O: SVU最大的卖点是sex crime。
　　得力于出色的写实派创作班底，《法律与秩序》最厉害的一点是“尽量接近真实”。虽然快节奏的电视剧无法完全还原艰难的司法程序，但该剧仍然力求细节真实。相反，爆炸、飞车、追逐、打斗、枪战之类的场面极少出现，作为主角出现的两个警察在整整22集里一枪都没有开过，查案全靠两条腿一张嘴。相信所有对司法部门有所了解的人都会认同，这才是法律系统真实的运作方式。很多司法界人士和警察都对该剧赞誉有加，喜欢的人说“这就是现实”，不喜欢的人则批评它“像普及教育课，不像电视节目”。该剧的风行，深刻地影响了美国的电视行业，此后出现的警匪电视剧都更加注意纪实味道和团队精神，比如《犯罪现场调查》（CSI）和《纽约重案组》（NYPD Blue）。
　　与其它警匪电视剧最大的不同在于，《法》片把焦点完全集中在司法程序，对各个主角的私生活几乎不接触。在一个小时的剧集中，警察查案，控方审案。这样的好处就是可以使观众随时看任意一集而不必担心情节不连续。和它形成鲜明对照的是《纽约重案组》，在讲述真实犯罪和侦破细节的同时，也着意刻画警察的平凡生活，并加入了各式各样的恋情。最绝的是，《法》片的许多故事都直接来自报纸的社会新闻，所以在某些集的结尾，才会出现这样的字幕：“本集故事受某某案件启发，但人物与具体情节都纯属虚构，绝无影射涉案人士之意。

　　背景设置在美国麻萨诸塞州鳕鱼角，女主角Jackie Quinones（Monica Raymund饰）是名美国国家海洋渔业局官员，她在当地沙滩上发现了一具尸体，后来尸体被证实是因鸦片类药物而受害，Jackie因而开始着迷于解决此谋杀案。

　　The series follows James St. Patrick, nicknamed "Ghost", owner of a popular New York City nightclub. In addition, he is a major player in one of the city's biggest illegal drug networks. He struggles to balance these two lives, and the balance topples when he realizes he wants to leave the drug ring in order to support his legitimate business.
