CBS的秋季时间表透露了CSI的最终命运：将推出一个2小时的电视电影作为大结局，元老级角色将回归，包括“葛瑞森”威廉·彼德森、“凯瑟琳”玛格·海根柏格。大结局将于9月27日播出，然后《网络犯罪调查(CSI:Cyber)》第二季接档。
