　　本剧集是BBC 2台2000年正式推出的以青年人为题材和对象的系列情景喜剧，创意和编剧均由Steven Moffat一人担当。三男三女的主要人物构成很容易使人联想到当时正走红（其实已经在走下坡路）的《Friends》，因此很有不少根本没看过本剧的媒体人士和评论家想当然地将本剧称作英国版的《Friends》，而在那些有幸欣赏过本剧的观众们看来，《Coupling》在情节设定、人物表演、喜剧元素的设计和表现等诸多方面所达到的水平，要比《Friends》高几个档次。相比之下，《Friends》只能说是一部“业余”水平的好作品而已。当然总体来说，英剧的水准本身就高于美剧，这和英剧注意保持创意、编剧一体化是分不开的，美剧的创意一般也就为最初几集编剧，以后主要的编剧工作都是由其它编剧根据最初的角色设定来自由发挥，编剧队伍的构成也是不断变化，老的走新的来，造成美剧情节连贯性差甚至前后矛盾，故事往往缺乏深度，人物性格平面化，缺少发展。这都是题外话了。《Coupling》的主要人物包括优柔寡断、性格不成熟的帅哥Steve，Steve的莫逆之交、举止语言古怪、总也找不到女友的Jeff，头脑简单、外表性感的“donkey” Patrick三位对Porn、特别是lesbian porn非常热中的男士，以及Steve的前女友、神神叨叨、擅用性感作武器的Jane，Steve的继任女友、Jeff的同事、曾经非常“不羁”（包括和Jeff还有Patrick）过的Susan，Susan的莫逆、对衰老和肥胖极度敏感的美容师Sally三位女士。本剧的主线包括Steve和 Susan之间逐渐正式起来的关系，Jeff寻找艳遇过程中的种种意外以及后来和上司发展出来的一段关系，Patrick和Sally之间若有若无到若即若离再到情深难舍的感情发展，还有Jane在事业和异性关系中的各种奇事，等等。本剧在情节设计中所达到的精致和完美程度让人叹为观止，而六位当时并不算大明星的青年演员的所展现精湛演技更是具有顶尖演员的水平，无怪乎播出之后立刻走红大洋两岸，在IMDB、AMAZON和BBC网站可以领略到其受欢迎的程度。

　　1985-92播出7季，还拍了两部电视电影的ABC老剧《百战天龙 MacGyver》，被CBS接手翻拍。MacGyver在原剧中是个不喜用枪的人，但却能用一把瑞士刀等东西解决各种事件。CBS对本剧的关注度很高。新版主演会年轻10年，讲述20多岁的MacGyver被招入一个隐秘的部门，剧中会解释他是如何学到一身如何解決难题的不同技能。 　　定档秋档的《百战天龙 MacGyver》预订后重选演员﹑编剧及导演，原班底只留下主角Lucas Till及George Eads。 　　在拍摄试映集时把导演从温子仁换成David Von Ancken，但当预告片放出后恶评如潮，CBS因此清洗了大部份演员﹑编剧与导演。温子仁再次走马上任，负责执导这部CBS有很高期待的新剧。 　　《X战警 X-Men》系列中饰演Alex Summers（冲击波/Havok）的Lucas Till饰演主角MacGyver。他在美国政府一个绝密部门，运用他过人的天赋﹑非传统的解决方式﹑丰富的科学知识去拯救别人。《犯罪现场调查 CSI: Crime Scene Investigation》的George Eads角色重新设定为特立独行的前CIA特工Jack Dalton，跟MacGyver一同在全球出生入死，进行高风险的任务。 　　Sandrine Holt将饰演前前线特工Patricia Thornton，现行动部门「对外特勤局（Department of External Services）」局长。她不喜欢自己被「领导」一词所框框，并且愿意自己亲身上前线，她才不想让自己的手下把乐趣都抢了。Justin Hires饰演有雄心壮志的Wilt Bozer，MacGyver的室友。 　　Tristin Mays饰演常规角色Riley Davis，她是个带怨恨﹑不可预测的电脑骇客，脑子有着各种计算机编码的知识；原本她在狱中服刑，因此她更是乐意在MacGyver的队伍中工作，而不是留在监狱……不过她懒得表示谢意。 　　在对外特勤局（Department of External Services）支持下，MacGyver肩负起保护世界的责任﹑武装到牙齿的他，得到的工具不止是香口胶及回纹针。

　　Plot of the series:
　　In the series “Catherine Season 4 Favorites,” the reign of the Great Empress of Russia, Catherine Alekseevna II, continues. The events take place in 1779, when the queen has been on the throne for seventeen years and has reached the peak of her greatness. Her fame spread not only to neighboring countries, but throughout Europe. Such a nickname as “Great” was assigned to her by the high society of Europe, thanks to the efforts of the influential Princess Dashkova, who was always devoted to Catherine II.
　　Upon returning from abroad, Catherine II is helped by the ruler’s main associate, Ekaterina Romanovna Dashkova. New favorites appear one after another, but they are all under the close supervision of Potemkin. None of the new favorites can maintain their position for long. Catherine plays at love, exalting herself to the point that no man deserves her true love. However, the heart does not obey the mind.

　　The seventeen-year reign of Catherine II was marked by her powerful influence on both domestic and foreign policy of Russia. She took active steps to modernize the country, absorbing foreign achievements and practices. The reforms of Catherine II were aimed at strengthening the state and increasing its influence in Europe. 　　At the same time, intrigue and political manipulation often accompanied the life of Catherine II. 　　HBO续订了美剧“消消气”第十季

　　在新版《4400 The 4400》中，有4400人突然在不同时间及地点消失，相同的是这4400人突然都被传送到底特律的现代，而且他们都保持消失时的原貌，并且没有消失期间的记忆。这4400人需要面对这个起了变化及充满敌意的世界，不少人还对新现状毫无理解。

　　Barnaby and DS Ben Jones investigate the death of Simon Bright who is found dead inside an old World War II vintage Humber parked at an abandoned airfield. From all appearances, the death appears to be a suicide, but the pathologist determines that the man suffered a severe blow to the dead and may in fact have been unconscious when he died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Simon Bright's girlfriend, Laura Sharp, is nowhere to be found, but the death of the aging village Lothario and the attempted murder of another of her friends narrows the list of possible murderers somewhat. Barnaby is convinced that one of Laura's ex-lovers is responsible but given her rather active life, the question becomes which one?
