　　精明干练的乔安娜•米尔斯（Sarah Michelle Gellar 萨拉•米歇尔•盖拉 饰）是圣路易斯一家运输公司的销售经理，她的事业蒸蒸日上，前途光明。然而最近她却保守噩梦的困扰，在梦中，她总会目睹一起残忍的凶杀案，这令她备受折磨，疲惫不堪。

　　大学毕业生天翔（张学友 饰）出身贫寒，其父猜叔（董骠 饰）靠在榕树头卖唱养活天翔以及年幼的一子一女，天翔不愿父亲在市场唱黄色小曲挣钱，但无奈工资微薄，只得在同事的侧目中忍受。天翔在工作中踏实肯干，在好友大傻（刘青云 饰）的帮助下为公司立下功劳，同时大老板的妹妹比蒂（周海媚 饰）对天翔也颇为有意，二人感情渐浓之际，大老板却因天翔一家的地位低下而中断了这段姻缘，天翔只得从相邻的舞女周枫（张曼玉 饰）处获得情感慰藉。失去工作的天翔加入黑道团伙，与大傻一起同另一势力高佬森连番拼杀，高佬森一伙将大傻和周枫害死，天翔向高佬森寻仇之际，猜叔为保全儿子挺身而出……

　　A misfit gang of runaways and orphans are taken in by a dark and charismatic father figure who together wreak havoc throughout swamps and trailer parks of central Florida.

　　Celestine, the chambermaid, has a new job in the country, at the Lanlaires. She has decided to use her beauty to seduce a wealthy man. But Mr Lanlaire is not a right choice: all the house is firmly controlled by Mme Lanlaire, helped by the strange valet Joseph. Then she tries the neighbour, ex-officer Mauger. This seems to work. But soon the son of the Lanlaires comes back. He is young, attractive, and does not share his mother's anti-republicans opinions. So Celestine's beauty attracts Captain Mauger, young Georges Lanlaire, and also Joseph. Three men, from three different social classes, with three different conceptions of life. Will Celestine be able to convince Georges of her sincerity ? Will sinister and inflexible Joseph let his views upon Celestine be ruined ? A quite disillusioned depiction of humanity.

　　职业杀手Bart（葛民辉饰）技艺高超，雇主很多，收入不俗。他与妻子阿玲（方子璇饰）居于高级住宅区，小日子过的非常滋润。可惜好景不长，金融风暴后夫妻二人陷入经济危机。Bart迫于无奈，便为有钱太太杀人服务，不想有钱太太要求苛刻，要Bart在杀人之余还得拍下杀人过程，方泄心头之恨。Bart深明顾客至上的道理，决定找一个拍档合作。凑巧Bart在酒吧见到导演阿全（张达明饰），二人一拍即合，成为了杀手导演二人组，一时间生意大增，一连串的“买凶拍人”行动随即展开。后来江湖大佬标哥听闻，决定聘Bart及阿全代劳，杀死社团叛徒大雄，并要拍下影带，好让他有真凭实据能向社团交代，稳坐执事人一职。这次买凶拍人行动能否成功呢？

　　该片是为纪念奥斯维辛集中营解放70周年而拍摄，讲述1961年对纳粹高官阿道夫·艾希曼的世纪审判电视转播。

　　21-year-old Cioma Schönhaus won't let anyone take away his zest for life, especially not the Nazis. He wants to discover life, but has the misfortune of living as a Jewish person in Berlin in the 1940s. Since the best hiding spots are in plain sight, Cioma decides to go out into the light to escape deportation. Using the identity of a marine officer he created for himself, he throws himself into the city's nightlife and even finds a fragile hope for love during the darkest moments of the war. Throughout the day he forges IDs with just a brush, some ink and a steady hand - and saves the lives of many others. His talent puts him in more and more danger, though, and at some point Cioma's only hope to survive is a last forged ID - with his own name on it.

　　自《那夜的妻子》后已没见这么绝望的小津。战后作品中，只这一部发生在严寒的冬季，亦只这么一部，探往破碎家庭那缺去的一员。已出嫁的大女儿没法与丈夫相处，回到父亲的家寻找避难所；未出嫁的二女儿忽然怀了孩子，夜夜到夜店等候负心汉的出现。与父亲下属私奔多年的母亲，突然闯进两女儿的生活，可二女儿打掉孩子后，再没法承受残酷的现实。戏剧化的故事在小津晚期作品中不多见，但低调的处理手法炮制了不少经典场面。母亲在辞别东京的列车上不断探头张望女儿一幕，几乎预见老人晚境将至的凄凉。豁达面对生命，是小津往后作品的出路。

　　Carmody一家一直在澳洲内陆过着游牧生活。儿子Sean负责牧羊。他和母亲Ida想找个农场定居下来。父亲Paddy还想继续像往常那样生活。后来这一家里发生了好多事。有孩子出生，还有父亲的酗酒赌博恶习，以及草原上进行的剪羊毛和赛马大赛，这些终于使得他们决定下来是定居还是继续游牧生活。
　　本片曾获第33届学院奖最佳影片、女主角Deborah Kerr、女配角Glynis Johns、导演Fred Zinnemann、原著改编5项提名，并在第18届金球奖角逐中获特别成就奖。
