Marine Biologist Jason and his wife Abby goes to Pola, Mindoro where he is tasked to lead the rehabilitation and preservation of a fish sanctuary. There, he meets his diving assistant Dennis and the two hit it off instantly. As they work together, Jason learns bits and pieces about Dennis and his family and Dennis is moved with Jason's passion for his work. They also find themselves in contradicting problems when Dennis got his girlfriend Tanya pregnant, while Jason and Abby have been struggling to have a baby for years, but to no avail because of Abby's illness. As days go by, Jason and Dennis develop romantic feelings for each other, eventually giving in to their sexual desires. But their affair takes an unprecedented turn when Abby finds out about Jason and Dennis' affair and catches them in the act. Abby's shock from her discovery made her illness worse, resulting in her hospitalization. Jason now has to choose between Abby and Dennis, and someone will be left brokenhearted.

　　Masterfully orchestrated – with only a small budget, the setting basically consisting of a table, two chairs, two persons talking, one mysterious manuscript and some little food in-between – this two-men drama reminds me of Robert Bresson’s famous words about filmmaking: “Two types of films: those that employ the resources of the theatre (actors, direction, etc.) and use the camera in order to reproduce, and those that employ the resources of cinematography and use the camera to create. However, when the war begins to take a bloody toll on those closest to him, the intricately built world that surrounds him crumbles like a house of cards.

　　The film follows successful business owner David (Ochmann), who leads a comfortable life alongside his boyfriend, Álex (Bassave), an attractive gym instructor. The latter has always wanted to become a father and often wonders which path he should follow in order to make his dream come true: adoption? A surrogate mother? Nevertheless, David refuses to discuss the subject. That is, until Blanca (Perroni), David’s sister, with whom he broke off all contact after a dark event in the past, bursts into their lives. She used to be a drug addict and, in one terrible moment of carelessness, started a fire that killed their parents, for which she was sentenced to six years in prison. But now, she is clean and has resolved to win back the only family she has: that’s why she will be willing to do whatever it takes to persuade her brother to accept her into his life again.

Life is full of physical deprivations and sensual pleasures and the deep meaning of that all is Love of course. The deeper the feeling the more intense emotions. Each girl dreams to meet her love one day. An experienced man is able to help her to discover the world of passion and senses, bring her to the «heaven's gate» where the two of them will prevail. One can only imagine how many hearts were broken along the way to master the science of love. But the passion blinds and soon the man becomes a slave of young sensual body of a woman. The carnal knowledge makes the girl try to subdue her love object. Instant emotions bring pain and suffering to the lovers as well as to their relatives and friends. Will the young heroine manage to meet the expectations of the man she loved and make him happy... become the only one? Who will help her to find the right path? Maybe the mysterious voice on the phone? Or will it be enough just to wake up and realize that that was just a dream, just a dream. Last film by Kim Ki-duk, which he shot in Summer, 2019 in Kyrgyzstan. Film was finished by Kim's friends and colleagues after his unexpected death in December, 2020.
